You can customize this recipe - use GF matzo, or play with the toppings
Ingredients

2-3 pieces of matzo
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Flaky salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Spread matzo in a single layer
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and butter
Once the mixture starts to gently bubble, simmer for 3 minutes - allow it to thicken
Immediately pour over the matzo
- Bake for 5 minutes
Remove from oven and pour chocolate chips over the top
- Using a spreader or spatula, gently spread the chocolate over the toffee
Sprinkle with salt
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate to harden
- Break into pieces
Recipe Note
You can sprinkle chopped nuts, mini marshmallows or candy for variety.
