Chocolate Almond Toffee Bark

Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup toasted almond slivers
- 270g bag of semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- Flaky salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter
- Stir in sugar and raise heat to medium-high until boiling
- With a candy or meat thermometer, continue to boil until it reaches 300°F
- Stir in almonds
- Pour onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spreading as thin as possible (press flat using a spatula) and bake for 8 minutes
- Remove from oven and cover with chocolate chips
- Wait for about 5 - 8 minutes (until the chips melt) and spread over toffee until smooth
- Sprinkle with salt
- Refrigerate for about an hour until hard, then remove and break into bite-sized pieces
