Goodbye candy bars! Dates are nature’s candy, chock full of nutrients and a caramel flavour that’s not overly sweet.
Ingredients
- 12 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 cup almond butter or nut butter of choice
- 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- Flaky sea salt
Directions
Cut dates in half (lengthwise) and remove pit
- Using a teaspoon, fill with nut butter
- Push the date closed to keep the nut butter from falling out
- Over a double boiler on medium heat, melt chocolate
- Dip the filled date in the chocolate
- Place on a surface covered with parchment paper
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours
